Sheila A. Flanagan - M.S., LPC, BCBA, LBA
Sheila Flanagan is an Educational Consultant for Benhaven Learning Network and provides consultation to public schools. Sheila is Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), for over 13 years as well as a Licensed Behavioral Analyst (LBA), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a certified teacher. She received her bachelor’s degree in teaching from Eastern Connecticut State University, and completed her master’s degree in Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University. She furthered her education attending Penn State University completing her post graduate certificate in Behavior Analysis. Sheila has over 29 years of experience working with persons with autism and other developmental disabilities. Her expertise includes school consultation, program development, data analysis, and staff development. She has knowledge and experiences in behavioral assessment and interventions including functional behavioral assessments, reinforcement-based strategies, and ecological assessments. She has supported persons through the process of Futures Planning.
Erin Ocone - M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
Erin Ocone has been an employee at Benhaven since 2011. She has worked as an instructional assistant, administrative assistant, job coach, social coach and spent two years providing educational services to students residing in the In Patient Autism Unit at the Hospital for Special Care. Erin currently works as an Educational Consultant for the Benhaven Learning Network, and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and licensed behavior analyst (LBA). She received her bachelor’s degree in English from Saint Joseph’s University in 2011 and master’s degree in Autism Studies and Applied Behavioral Analysis from Endicott University in 2018. She became a member of the Benhaven Consultant Team in 2018, and currently consults to school districts. Erin has experience doing in home behavioral consultation, providing parent training and consultation to families with children with behavioral needs. She has experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments, relationship development interventions, positive behavior support strategies, and Team collaboration methods.
Kathy Perkins - M.A., BCBA, LBA
Kathy Perkins is an Educational Consultant at Benhaven Learning Network where she provides school consultation services. Kathy is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Connecticut. She received her bachelors degree in sociology from Central Connecticut State University and her master’s degree in Special Education with a certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from the University of Saint Joseph.
Within her current role, Kathy provides behavioral, academic and life skills consultation to teachers and other support staff within public school settings for students from pre-K through age 22. In addition, Kathy has experience providing behavioral supports and training to caregivers as well as teaching social, communication and daily living skills within home and community-based settings.
