Benhaven School

A BIG thank you to everyone who supported Benhaven’s Second Annual Walk last fall. As a result of the money raised, Benhaven School has just placed an order for its first Smartboard! We are thrilled with the addition of this technology to our school. We are also purchasing a cart for it which will allow all classrooms to access it as needed.

Our students have become very comfortable using their fingers/hands on screens for learning and leisure. A Smartboard expands on these skills. It’ll provide opportunities for students to work together in new ways. Teachers will be able to differentiate lessons easily.  And it will be another resource for all of us with regards to professional development.

We suspect there are many more ways we will use it that we aren’t even aware of now. We eagerly await its arrival! Thank you!

UPDATE!

We have purchased and installed our climbing wall. It will open soon, and we are so excited! We could not have done this without the donors from the Gala giving us a HUGE head start. And to all those who donated cans/bottles for us to recycle, the students who did mountains of recycling and those who donated to get “Roc” to the top – THANK YOU!!
