Tonia Holland, M.S.

Ms. Tonia Holland is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Benhaven. She joined Benhaven in 2017 after working as the Director of Operations for SARAH Tuxis, a provider of services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Throughout her career she has served on several committees which includes Milford & Orange Chamber Health and Wellness committee, Chamber of Orange Women’s leadership group, Agency on Aging Inter-Agency Council Committee, Concerned Citizens for People with Disabilities Committee and the SOCT SHRM Board as the Director of Diversity.

Ms. Holland began her career in 2000 at Benhaven School, after a few years at the school she accepted a Residential Teaching position at one of the group homes, leaving Benhaven in 2004, Tonia went on to become a Group Home manager for the Arc of Southington.

In 2005, after a recommendation from an Executive Director, Ms. Holland accepted a position at SARAH Tuxis as their Area Director overseeing half of their agency. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College, New Haven, Connecticut, she left SARAH Tuxis in 2007 and went on to become the Intake Supervisor for the Visting Nurses Association (VNA) in New Haven, Connecticut. Ms. Holland was quickly promoted to the Director of the VNA’S private Duty agency, Caresource. While at Caresource she received her master’s degree in Labor Relations from the University of New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut. Ms. Holland was asked by the Executive Director at SARAH Tuxis to rejoin their team as the Human Resources Director and build the department from the ground up. Once the department was fully functioning, Ms. Holland received a promotion to the Director of Operations.

Ms. Holland completed her master’s degree in Finance & Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, New Hampshire in 2017.
