Linda Grimm, PhD

Academy Director

Dr. Grimm has worked in the field of ASD for over 35 years.  She is the Director of Benhaven Academy, which provides services and supports to individuals with ASD using a person-centered approach. She is also the managing consultant for Benhaven Learning Network, a consultant group that provides services to children, families, and schools supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Dr. Grimm has a bachelors and certification in Elementary Education, certification and master’s in special education, her sixth year/certification in Educational Leadership and a Ph.D. in Leadership. She has worked on both state and federal task forces to further the understanding of effective practices for the education of individuals with ASD and was a key author of the CT State Guidelines for Serving Children and Youth with ASD. The focus of her work has been on developing competencies in those who support and teach individuals with autism.
