This fall, Benhaven School employees and families donated approximately 4,000 cans and bottles that our students recycled! We were busy! We raised just under $200.
The money was donated to Operation ELF (Embracing Lonely Families). This organization helps military families at holiday time and throughout the year. This was their 20th anniversary. Follow this link to read about the holiday party they held this weekend.
The school also donated money to Lorenzo’s Christmas Wish, a local organization that delivers toys to children.
We are so grateful for the outpouring of support for our students to learn valuable skills which in turn benefit those in need in our communities. Thank you to all who donated! Stay tuned for our next Recycling for a Cause.
