GBS - Lending a Hand to those Who Help Others

Just weeks after opening its first branch office in North Haven, GSB has awarded a total of $20,000 in donations to North Haven-area non-profit organizations. These donations are just one way GSB is positioning itself as a community bank — and a community partner.

“Fostering community partnerships has always been a core value at GSB,” said GSB Marketing Manager Kristen Conlon. “We consider ourselves as more than a community bank, but also as members of the communities we serve. We are pleased to be partnering with these organizations, who work tirelessly each day to help make this region a better place to live and work.”

“As newcomers, we have felt extremely welcomed by the North Haven community. I am thrilled at the steps GSB has taken to show our appreciation and commitment to our new neighbors,” said North Haven Branch Manager Renee Miller.

GSB awarded donations to nine non-profits receiving donations address a wide range of community needs including youth activities, veteran housing, food insecurity, homelessness, intellectual disabilities, development disorders, animal adoption, and family support. Benhaven was among the nonprofits benefiting from these awards. GSB donated $1500. GSB staff then generously entered a matching campaign to donate further to Benhaven during April which is Autism Awareness Month. In total Benhaven received $2300 from GSB.  A big thanks to this community bank and its staff!!
