Jack M, from our Career and Transition Services program, who is an avid hockey lover and player himself, suggested the game during one of the self-advocacy meetings he participates in and independently generated an email to the Wolfpack organization. Within days the Wolfpack responded and offered us tickets to the game. Not only did Jack meet and take pictures with both teams' mascots, was given a 'claw' from one fan's random act of kindness, he also caught a T-shirt thrown into the crowd by Sonar the Wolf. When picked up after the game, Jack said, "It was the best night of my life."
Times like these with friends are memories we hope Jack and others who attended the game keep with them for years to come.
Thank you to everyone that participated and made this night possible. It was truly a great night had by all!
